I am new to this site and have noticed a few people making refernce to a podcast for the couch 2 5k program which helps you know when it is time to stop running. Where do you download these?

WHen I was in trhe C25k program I preferred, at least for the first several weeks, to train without music so I could focus on my breathing, foot falls and pace. Also I was running on the road, so I wanted to be alert to what was going on around me. There is a silent podcast you can download, the name of which is escaping me right now, but that will come up if you do a search in te iTunes store for Couch to 5k. The name is Scandanavian, I think-- Ielosd or something like that. I loved it. All it is is a computerized voice cuing you when to walk and when to run. Very rarely it will offer bits of encouragement ("You're halfway there, keep going" "Congratulations, you're done with Week One Day One!"), mostly it's just, "Okay, it's time to start running" and "Slow down and walk for XX seconds/minutes." If you're running on the road for the first time and aren't sure what kind of traffic you need to be aware of, this is a great way to have your cues and still be able to clearly hear the world around you.
I've been using "Get Running", which is an iPhone app. Works just fine for me...I'm now in my 7th week of training.
Still slower than molasses, but I'm going to quality and form and consistency here...hehe.
I've been doing the C25k to the podcasts over at http://www.c25kplaylists.com/4801.html. I prefer non-techno music to run to. I also like that there are several versions of each week's podcast, just the music changes. One annoying thing is the computerized voice used to say when to change paces.
