Just type the text below into the search box at the URL above. This is the women's finish. How not to finish a Marathon(Unless you are the women who runs the sub 50 second last quarter mile)!

Wow in the mens race the dude tried to block the other dude by running to the left edge of the finish tape. Then when getting passed he thrust an elbow out to try to stop him. They both wanted the win badly.

That woman is crazy running like that after 26 miles. You could see the men she passed at the end looked like they were completely out of gas but she found another gear.

i love how adere "hid" behind those two guys and totally stole the race. this is; however, a good argument for the women starting 30 minutes or so before the men so those two male runners wouldn't have been there for adere to "hide" behind...

When $125,000 and prestige are on the line. I'd probably find an extra gear myself.

Not sure if it would have made much of a difference when looking at the video. Pitrea did not look back once when she took lead. That shows at 22 how inexperienced she is/was going into this race. That was just smart racing on Adere's part. Still can't believe that girl didn't look back once.

She probalby read that thread in here a while ago where people kept saying that looking back is a sign of weakness.

Wow! it took me forever to get to see the women's finish - amazing. I think it stinks that the newbie lost it last second, but to see adere's kick at the end was amazing. To have that at the end - she full on deserved all the glory. Wow.

It is fun to see these wonderful finishes after hearing all the negatives about this race all week.

Here is the link I finally found the women on: (you can also search for surprise finish)

As someone who was defending the tactic, I was thinking the same thing.

Learning hurts. This lesson will sting long after the body heals. I bet she won't be caught with her pants down like this again.
