This event is a nice way to start the day. One leg of the race goes by the beach, pretty flat course one section has a small incline. I recommend this course for any casual or novice runner. Just be careful of the dogs when you run, dogs are were allowed on this course last year.

My 7 year old and I ran this and it was a lot of fun.  Pretty flat, beautiful scenery and lots of fun, encouraging people to run along side of.  Some people really get decked out in patriotic attire which makes it even more light hearted and fun.

1st time running this event, it was a nice run.  My kids participated in the dash and 1/4 mile.  There were a lot of kids, wished they would have maybe divided up some of the groups even more (some kids fell trying to start).  Great event!

I love this race. The course is super easy and it's a great way to kick off the holiday.  I especially love all the dogs who run with us!
