Kids have many options these days for activities and sport programs not to mention leisure time spent on the Internet, video games, cell phones, etc. Parents are busier than ever and shuffling kids to games and practice can be difficult. How is this affecting your league participation numbers?
Here at Active, we see many NEW leagues opening registration and a solid number of programs that have been around for 25 + year... so it got me thinking.
Are kids playing more or less baseball? For a while we heard quite a bit about kids moving to other Action sports or acivities such as skateboarding or up-and-coming sports like Lacrosse attracting kids. But those comments have sort of slowed down - are parents & kids re-discovering baseball?
Is your baseball league growing, staying the same or have you seen a drop in numbers this year?
If so, why?
