Sharp pains in lower left side =[

After a couple days of light jogging (which I am not used to) I am beginning to get sharp pains in my lower left side whenever I do anything of moderate aerobic intensity, like run down the stairs. I want to run a mile today, but this pain will stop me! Any suggestions or info?
I am sad that I am getting such pain, because I have only been improving =/

Max1 - I can only assume that you are new to running (seeing as how you have said that you are not used to light jogging. Therefore I must tell you that the first 2 weeks of running are the worst - really. Those pains that you are experiencing are called side stitches. We've all had them, and we've all grown out of them. Try and increase your distances gradually. If you cam, tomorrow run 2 miles. What is your weekly mileage right now? Care to give us some more info on your running?
