We're looking to start a 12/u travel team this year. Have a pretty good idea about getting started but was wanting some opinions on team insurance. Do most teams purchase insurance? Or do you just get the parents to sign a waiver and provide proof there child is medicaly insured? Thanks.
Purchase insurance through one of the sanctioning bodies (NSA, ASA). Its not that expensive and all tournaments will want proof of insurance. A waiver is good to have also, but will mean nothing to a tournament director. Also, some states sanctioning bodies make insurance part of their registration fee.
