Re: Mile Times
My 12-year-old ran 5:39 in his first-ever track meet last night in windy conditions. He also learned a valuable lesson: Never ease up until you're PAST the finish line. He eased up at the line and got nipped by someone else.

This came after running the 2400 (what type of event is that?) and doing the long jump.

He then jumped into the mile relay and ran a 64.

My best time came at the age of 25 when I ran a 4:19. I'd probably be lucky to beat my kid right now.

Re: Mile Times
Hi, I'm a freshman sprinter and I did winter track and just started spring track. During the off-season I timed myself around my block, which is exactly a mile, and got a 6:30. This seems pretty good considering I run 100, 200, and 400

Re: Mile Times
My best time was in January @ in indoor meet (weird, I don't even like indoor running that much), and I ran a 4:19...I'm an 18 year old female and I run/asst. coach 3 seasons of track for college.
