Lance Armstrong was in Madison, Wis., today supporting Trek and Ride the Drive. After speaking a bit he led a massive group of thousands of cyclists along a 6-mile miniloop through downtown Madison. Six miles of major roads were closed for six hours giving cyclists, walkers, roller-bladers a chance to explore without cars surrounding them.
It was a gorgeous weekend & a really neat experience. I wrote about it and have pics/video here. http://ironmakeover.blogspot.com/2010/08/ride-drive-with-lance-armstrong-8-29-10.html
In my post I ask:
- what's the largest group ride you've gone on?
- what's the strangest thing you've seen while cycling, or strangest thing/costume/etc you've seen riding a bike?
Thanks for sharing your experiences,
Sara
