Webb the Wabbit

I sometimes jump in these summer races put on by the Potomac Valley Track Club. Wish I could have been down there to see this:

I just love this remark - I think the author must be British: "The back stretch saw Alan still lead with Richard Smith on his toes and the other 3 competitors well off pace"

Well off the pace? After a 51 second opener? I hope so! Most gents at an all-comers meet would consider that pretty darn tidy work for an open 400 not to mention the first lapper of the 800!! Must have been a lot of fun to watch.
