We have a 5K run/walk in February in San Antonio, TX. It's still cold and a little rainy then. What kind of post race nourishment (food/drink/both) would you expect/want? We offer hot chocolate, coffee, and bananas before the event. Thank you so much for your suggestions!!
Ideas: granola or protein bars, individual bags of pretzels or soy chips or other healthy crunchy snacks, water, muscle milk/musle milk light,
February. San Antonio. Yeah, it's either cool and rainy or 85 degrees!
As a San Antonio resident for over twenty years, your post brought a smile to my face. Good luck with your event!
I like plain bagels after a race along with bananas or apples. Water is normally what I like to drink afterwards.
No need to get too crazy. You aren't putting on a brunch. : )
Just the essentials.

It's a 5K. Don't go crazy. Bages. Bananas, Granola bars. Water. Go simple to help keep the cost down.
