Hey, first of all congrats on such an achievemnt as an 8th grader! That is a sweet time...keep it up and you will be All American and then some...
Secondly, if the 4:48 is your current PR, it will be
extremely tough to drop 18 seconds in two weeks; unless you have a cylinder you haven't used yet. The only thing you could/should do between now and then is work on short sessions of speed/turnover at faster than 4:30 pace. But don't get hurt!
Of course, we know nothing about you and it would help us to know a little history and how your training has been going.
