    If it is in or off the field and I see a catcher without the mask I will stop the game and correct the situation. If a catcher gets hit and receives some type of injury than you take a chance that some parent or lawyer may sue. There have been Umpires sued and none of us want to be in that situation!

    Have you been sued?

     

    Have you heard of an umpire that has been sued?

     

     

    I'm sure there has been some type of litigation brought against an official at some time, but I have never heard of an official that has been sued.
