Free Throws

Recently my team was working on free throws, and since I wasn't practicing these too much I had trouble with them. One of the reasons was I was off balance and didn't know how to place my feet. I need help because we have a game coming soon and I need to be able to shoot free throws if I get fouled going to the rim. Please comment on foot placement, focusing tips, and how to stay on balance. Also, how to get more leg in your shot.

    Re: Free Throws

well your feet should be shoulders length apart to create good balance and you should bend your legs just a little bit before shooting i dont know if this will help you tho but you should practice freethrows since there the easiest shot in game everyday for like 20 mins it really helps and free throw shooting

is not just physiceal its mental so when you shoot one becalm bounce the ball a couple of times before you shoot so you could be at easy.Hope this helps good luck

    Always remember this:

    B- Balance

    E-Eyes at the rim

    E-Elbows beneath the ball

    F-Follow-through

    Re: Free Throws

Your freethrow routine should always be the same. For example when I step to the line I will spin the ball in my hands, dribble it 3 times, look at the rim, and then shoot it. Find a routine that you like and practice it the same everytime.
