Well, I did it! I ran my own personal half marathon - and guess what, I won! lol My time was 2:13:37 and I am very pleased with that time. I'm not going to win any races at that speed but I never had any dreams of winnning, just finishing. I estimated I'd finish between 2:15 and 2:30 thinking I'd be a little closer to the 2:30 mark so, again, I'm very pleased with my time. Now I'll work on my speed work and see how much I can improve in February.
Congrats. 2:13 is a great time. When you run the "real" race in Feb, you will get a better time. The addreneline and comradarie of the other runners will carry you. Keep training through the winter. There is no such thing as bad weather, only impropper gear.
