Sunrunner: I had never heard of Runkeeper until you wrote about it. I don't have a smartphone and I already have a Garmin, but I can see that Runkeeper would be great for smartphone users. I alternate between nose and mouth breathing. I've not tried chewing gum because I would probably either spit it out or swallow it ("walk and chew gum...").
willrun4chocolate: I also got a private message from your imitator, whom I have reported for abuse. These people obviously have way too much free time.
Jasmine: After I asked you about the Music City HM, I realized that it would be only a week before the Wisconsin HM that I have already signed up for, so I probably won't come to Nashville. A gap of two weeks would probably be OK, but one week is too soon for me, especially with the hills you described.
We had our Wednesday night training run last night. The fast guys went off to do about six miles. I did only three because the air temp was 25 with a wind chill of 12 and three miles of sub-freezing air were enough. I have a cover for my nose and mouth, especially when I'm running into the wind, but then my glasses fog up and I can't see. That's a real problem at night between the street lights. All this in the name of fitness.
