indoor track

i'm a distance runner starting training on a 200m indoor track. its got tight curves and cement flooring. any idias on injery prevenchon? please and thank you.

Run outside as much as possible. Work on strength. Stretch a lot. Cross-train on a machine, or use a treadmill. Use the track only for the quick stuff, find a way to build your endurance somewhere else. Indoor tracks are pretty rough on your legs.

i could be wrong but i was always told that treadmills were bad for your knees and also caused shin splints. if i were u i would just practice running on the roads or on an out door track like everyone else is saying.
