Tell me what you think!

I'm training for the 800 meters and 2 mile for track and field. Each week I practice with the track team (monday-friday 3-5) and on Saturday I complete a long run of about 10-13 miles. I use Sunday as a complete rest day.

Should I run extra when I get home from track to increase my milage? And is that complete rest day only hurting my fitness?

What MPW is best for the events I run in? I usually fall in the 35-40 range, though, this week was only 28 miles due to bad weather ):

Re: Tell me what you think!
Need a lot more info about you. How old are you? What are your 800 and 2 mile times? How long have you been running?
What is your typical week of training? Put as much info as you can about yourself. Without it, your question can't be answered.

Re: Tell me what you think!
There is not much info here on your training. I don't know where you're at as a runner. Particularly, you have not included the intensity of training and duration. There is a big difference between a 3 mile workout sessions at your easy pace to 24 200M runs at an intense interval pace. Also the decision to include more mileage may come from your feeling that you're finding your workouts too easy or you are not improving fast enough. For the first case, more mileage might work or might injure you; restructuring your training plan may be a better option for either case. Please include more detail.
