Some speed workouts and maybe one long run. Run a really easy run the day before the meet. Get a good night sleep starting 2 days before the meet. Start hydrating the night before. And start carboloading 2-3 nights before.

I am not sure what you should do for a speed workout. Use a speed workout that you have done before. Maybe some 800's with a few minutes jog between each one and 2-3 400's, also for a long run, run 7-8 miles. Make sure you have an easy day after the speed. Do the long run early. Wait for someother peoples advice though.

Taper? Maybe a mile time trial a few days before the race? Worked for me.

xero...is this that street mile?

With just a week, you got whatever aeroic capacity you'll have so work on speed /turnover, I would do a couple short sets of at and faster mile paced 400's, 600's and 800's. Plus your regular mid-week recovery runs.

Good luck!

Good luck. I still say you should be running as Master's meets. http://www.usatf.org/groups/Masters/[/URL" target="_blank">

The Nationals?! That's the weekend of August 3rd - we'll be hiking and camping up in Glacier in Montana. Just as well. I'm not quite at that level, frankly. I do plan on running at the New England Championships on 7/21 though.
