Okay. Let me take you through a stat at you real quick.
2009-2010 Heat without LeBron through 51 games: 24-27
2010-2011 Heat with LeBron through 51 games: 37-14
2010-2011 Cavaliers without LeBron through 51 games: 8-43
2009-2010 Cavaliers with LeBron through 51 games: 40-11
Heat win difference through 51 games: 13
Cavaliers win difference through 51 games: -32
So you CANNOT tell me that he had a better supporting cast in Cleveland. Seriously? The best player along side LeBron in Cleveland might be Mo Williams?
D-Wade > Mo Williams & Anderson Varajeo
You know, Mavs and Bulls would be REALLY interesting to watch. I agree. But, you also pointed out (correctly so) that probably either the Spurs or the Celtics show up in the Finals. Best bet would be on Celtics, but we'll see as the season moves along.
the cavs are on a terrible losing streak but it's emotional not because of lack of talent. Jamison and williams are fantastic players who went from championship contenders to bottom of the barrel. they have no reason to play hard and they just don't care. If you take d wade and Lebron out of miami they are the worst team in the league. Youre still not addressing the #1 issue that Lebron is horrid in the playoffs. He needs talent around him to carry him through the playoffs cause year after year he doesn't show up
Well, some maybe emotional, but it is 75% because of a lack of talent. Any team with any amount of talent doesn't lose 25+ games in a row. And about LeBron in the playoffs, the main reason why he doesn't play well in the Playoffs is once again lack of a supporting cast. That's why I think Miami can go a VERY long way because LeBron has such a great supporting cast. I mean, look at the game he played just a couple of games ago where he scored only 12 points and the Heat still won! Of course, they were playing the Clippers but you get the idea.
ok so youre trying to tell me the reason Lebron scored six points in the final game against Boston last year was because of his supporting cast? Are you joking or are you really that big of a Lebron homer? Who on Miami is so good that he has such a great supporting cast? Besides D Wade they are all terrible. The supporting cast on Miami saw about an average of 10 min of playing time last year. Are you trying to say House is better than Mo? that Dampier is better than Jamison? and even if that's true ( which it's not) How did they have the best record in the NBA every year? If the supporting cast is better this year why are they not going to reach sixty wins? Why did Lebron quit in the playoffs? He completely stopped shooting the ball stopped playing defense in all those series. Look it up dude or maybe try watching a game once in a while.
Mainly, yes. Do you really think LeBron could take Rondo, Garnett, Allen, Pierce? He did in the regular season, but the key here is he didn't have to do it 4 games in a row. Now, you make a valid point that 6 points is VERY VERY bad for a playoff or for that matter regular season game. All I'm trying to say is that while you are right in saying some of it is LeBron's fault, he can't be blamed 100%. If his supporting cast was really that good, they wouldn't have 8 wins at this point. And you wonder why they won't reach 60 wins... well they should come close... but if they don't here's why. They have been together one season. They started the season rough, and have kept improving, and will keep improving still. As long as they stay healthy, they will keep getting better and better and will be very hard to stop in the playoffs. And you also asked why he "quit" in the playoffs. Well, not sure anybody knows that, but he didn't want anything more to do with Cleveland, so he left! And finally, I live in Ohio man. I kind of follow this stuff. Oh, look! Post 400!
He was accused of quitting all 3 years. So youre trying to tell me agianst the spurs in the NBA finals he gave up because he didn't like cleveland? Youre saying the only reason they got destroyed by Orlando and nearly swept two years ago was because he didn't want to be in Cleveland. Everyone knows he quit in Boston last year cause they had no chance in hell of winning that series and didn't really belong there in the first place. Seriously dude think about what youre saying. Lebron is all flash no sizzle. He puts up big numbers and when the time comes that really matters he flops. He's not event he best player on his team now let alone comparing him to kobe and jordan as best all time
Yeah, I think that's part of it. It wasn't as bad when he played the Spurs than the Celtics last year. Why? Well, probably because he was realizing he couldn't win an NBA Final with his supporting cast. So he left. And if you say D-Wade is better than LeBron, I'll put that up for vote for other iHoopers to decide. I can guarantee you, and I would be shocked if I was wrong... LeBron has the best playoff series run of his CAREER this year.
He may put up some numbers...doubt it... but they won't make it out of the second round against chicago and for sure can't beat Boston. Unless Orlando Boston and Chicago have major injuries the heat won't get out of the east
We'll see. Boston is much more of a threat to take down the Heat than Chicago is. The Celtics have overall more depth at every position. And experience. That makes SO much difference. I'm pretty sure the Heat could beat Orlando in 5, although they do lack a big man that would be able to guard Dwight.
Chicago beat them already earlier in the year without Noah and Miami doesn't have a post that can guard anyone let alone Howard the best C in the league right now. Youre kidding yourself if you think they have a chance
Orlando is going to slip away from title contention in just a couple of years. Especially if Howard gets out of there in a couple of years. Heat vs. Orlando, and the Magic don't stand a CHANCE.
You're absolutely right. The Heat have WAY to much talent to not do well in the playoffs. It is as simple as that. It doesn't even matter if they lose in the first round (which I really don't think they will.) You CAN'T deny the fact that they are going to be title contenders for a VERY LONG TIME.
