What you need to do is set small goals. For example at this point go over to your local high school or college track and make it your goal to run one lap. The first time out just walk the distance so you get a feel for it. The next time start running part of the distance and slowly increase it until you can run a whole lap. When you achieve a goal, however small it may be it really energizes you to continue. If you set the bar too high initially you are doomed to fail.
OMG! your story is so inspiring. Seems like the more I hear from different folks the stronger I begin to feel. Kudos to you! Thanks for willing to help me out but unfortunately, I'm no where near Long Beach, CA. I wish you and your wife the very best.
