Although I have not done this particular race, I have done other races on the Yough trail and also did one where we finished at the riverside park. It is a very nice area. Bring the family for a pleasant day long outing. The Italian Oven has excellent food.

Ran the 2010 race and was so very happy that there was the option for a 1/2 distance as well-- it became my first 1/2. The volunteers were friendly and helpful the water stations were well placed the distance markers were easy to see and the scenery was spectacular, I run the trail all the time but farther down so it was great to experience the part of the river I usually only see by canoe
