Try it once as long as it is sanctioned and let us know how you feel about it.  There are trails in Germany where clothing is optional.

As with so many things, namely nude beaches, generally you really don't want to see them that way.

The only nude 5K in Southern California is April 18 at Olive Dell Ranch near Riverside, convenient access to LA, Orange County and Palm Springs.   It's a cross country trail run with a few good hills.  Last year 98 participants ran the course ranging from college students to a those in their 50's.   Times were very competitive.    You know it's somewhere on your bucket list, so may as well sign up and give it a try.  Only $25 with the shirt and a visit to a nudist resort you probably didn't know existed.  http://www.active.com/running/colton-ca/2nd-annual-bare-burro-nude-5k-run-2011

There's a race called The Bare BunsTrail Race or something like that run just up the Turnpike from Philly. It's about 4.5 miles long and takes place within a secure park property that has a lot of other adult, clothing optional activities.  I was tempted to try it last fall, but the timing was off.  I hadn't run any races yet at that time.  It would have been a fun sort of thing for me, not particularly sexy.  Most of the folks who do that sort of thing are just regular people, not centerfold material by any stretch of the imagination.

I found out later that my girlfriend's mother goes to that park now and then.  There's a scary thought!

They give out shirts at a nude run???

Last year we had experienced runners, college students, a mother pushing a jogger, couples, singles and participants from 20 to 70.   If you focus on the bodies, it's not always a pretty site. If you focus on the smiles of people being a bit wild and very free, it's one of the most beautiful things you'll see.   Life's short.  When you day comes will you be thankful you never tried it, or thinking you might have taken a bigger bite out of a life on a few occasions?

Um, yeah think I would have to say no. Swinging in the breeze is not my idea of fun running.
