Fantastic. Not only was the race, volunteers, organization, and start/finish line great but they were also able to make it stop raining and have a beautiful clear day for us to run. The course kicked my #@!$ but it was a great day. The volunteers were helpful and directed us (I get lost easily) and I was able to finish without going off the trail. Great sponsorships and post event finish line area.
Great race! The support was very helpful and aid stations were positioned in all the right places. Very organized event as well. And yes, the course was beautiful and challenging. Thinking of tackling the 50k next year!
Very well put together race. I drove 90 miles race morning and it was all worth it. Definitely doing it next year but I like sleep so may get a room close by
Did the 30k...a most challenging course with beautiful views...race organizers stage a well organized event and the volunteers are terrific---always a helpful greeting just when you need it...finish line food and drink are plentiful...a great event.
It was my first Bandit. I did the 15k and loved it. It was a very organized event with a great goodie bag. Everyone was having fun and I met some great folks. I'll do it again next year.
I've run the Bandit 15k since it started and this year ran the first ever Bandit Buddies. The race was excellent as always, great support and volunteers, and an overall great day!
From start to finish, pre-race to post-race everything was perfect. It was my first time around (I did the15K) and I'm definitely coming back next year. Congrats!
Ran the 30k here last year, but had to back down to the 15k this year because of injury. As expected, a fabulous event. Well sponsored, well organized and well worth doing next year!
This was my first trail race (did the 15K) and I had a great time. Challenging course, gorgeous scenery, enthusiastic volunteers, great goodies at the finish and one of the best swag bags. The only downer: a friend of mine was injured within the first six miles of her 50K and she had a really hard time finding any sort of aid or a ride back down to the finish--even the sheriffs on their ATVs said they couldn't help her. I'd suggest better contingency planning for on-course injuries in future races.
Great race, very challenging but totally enjoyable. All the volunteers were great, the food and vendors at the finish line were awesome and I'll definitely sign up again next year. My only complaint: They ran out of swag bags and my husband and I didn't get ours, although we signed up in advance. Also ordered a medium t-shirt and got stuck with a large. I hate to complain because it's not about the "swag", but it was a bummer. Still, loved it and looking forward to next year!
Easy trip up from San Diego the morning of, well-marked course, friendly organizers, supportive volunteers, great weather, tough hills, and muddy from three days' worth of rain. Perfect.
So sorry about the swag bag and shirt, send me your email and address and I'll see if I can find a M shirt for you.
glad you liked the event!!

I did the 30K for the first time here in 2011. I didn't know what to expect other than it would be tough. Well, I absolutely loved it. The course was stunning. Really, really gorgeous. Great support along the way, and the fact that the trails were patrolled by ATV's made me feel really safe. It was also tough, but the constant changing scenery and spectacular views made time fly by. The post-race set-up was brilliant. Great massage, great food and an awesome atmosphere. This race is a gem and I suspect it will grow in size as it's top notch from start to finish.
My first 50K, amazing experience! http://smeltedfeet.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-first-50k-ultra.html
