I have the same elevation issue with my Garmin 205. Even running on a flat surface like our high school track, it shows elevation increases and decreases. I think the distance and pace info are correct, but the elevation is not consistent. Also, even though I start and end at the same exact spot, it shows that I've climbed more than I've descended (or the other way around).
On a different subject, here's a good slow cooker stew recipe, which I modified to suit my taste:
1 cup each lentils and barley (rather than all lentils)
4 cups each low-sodium chicken broth and water
1 can diced tomatoes (I use the zesty ones)
1 cup each chopped celery, chopped carrots and canned corn (I added these to the original recipe)
1 pound low-fat turkey sausage, cut into short pieces (if you want meat)
Cook for 4-5 hours. Change the vegetables to suit your own taste.
