I have flat feet, tend to pronate. Local specialist recommended the Asics 3000 Gel's with the reinforced sides for my arches. Even just walking, after a bit, my arches are on fire. Is this normal, should I just break through the discomfort or maybe the specialist was incorrect as to what would be a good fit for my feet?
I recently switched to a motion control shoe and the first few times I ran in them I was still feeling pretty sore. But now that they are broken in a little, they feel great. May just want to give them some time or also take them back to the store and see what they have to say.
My personal opinion is your shoes should feel good right from the start. I have learned this over the years, the hard way. If they're not comfortable, take them back and get something else. Try on several shoes in the same category to get the ones that feel best.
