Plate Meeting

For those of you working high school & college, how do your pre-game plate meeting differ? I know for college you don't worry about jewelery, helmets when shagging balls, and etc. because we are dealing with adults.

 

Can anyone give me an example of a college plate meeting, let's say for a D2 game?

    Intorductions.

     

    Take Home line up.  Verify DH or P/DH or straight 9 (well, those last two are the same).

     

    Take Visitors line up.

     

    Ask "all equipment meets NCAA requirements?"

     

    Verify game length (9 or 7 or 7-9 DH, unless first game goes 9+, in which case second game becomes 7, or ...)

     

    Ask about halted game rule.

     

    Ask about 10-after-7 rule.

     

    Home coach discuss ground rules.

     

    Wish both teams good luck.

     

    And, I don't mention jewelry, or helmets on ball shaggers, etc in my HS meetings either.
