So in school I play on a 10 ft hoop, but my practice hoops is about 11 ft high. I practice shooting on the higher hoop and I AM getting better on the normal hoop, BUT I was wondering if it's better to practice on the higher one because I will have to shoot with a higher arc or if I should stop practicing on the 11 ft one and try to practice on the 10 ft one? Some of my friends who play basketball too said that I should stop practicing on the high hoop. What do you think??? I'll give points for the most helpful answer!
I would really try to practice on the 10 ft hoop. That foot difference really could mess your form up and show in a game. You should try to book some gym time if you can't get the regular hoop at home.
I'd start practice on a 10 ft hoop.Shooting on a 11 ft can help your arc when shooting on 10 ft, but you should try 10 ft.
no its not beacause it will get messed up practice it on a 10 ft. hoop
Try shooting over someone holding a broom in front of you If you shoot flat your arc will come from shooting over a defender not shooting at a higher hoop. So if you have a practice partner have them hold a broom up about 2 feet infront of where you are shooting and about 9'1/2 to 10 feet high. Shoot over that. Good luck
