I was talked into a 5k by my Sister after losing 120 pounds in just over a year. I did some elliptical work and some weights but was far from road ready but I finished my first 5k! I had a blast!
39 minutes and 12 seconds was my time. I know it is slow but its a start!
Holy cow, Redvalic, that is awesome! Keep up the amazing work!!! My first 5k is in 27 days....hope I do as well!

"Beyond the very extreme of fatigue and distress, we may find amounts of ease and power we never
dreamed ourselves to own; sources of strength never taxed at all because we never push
through the obstruction." William James
Outstanding! I ran my first race a month ago and it was the best thing I ever did. There's no better way to stay motivated in your running then to run a race! Also, I was very surprised and pleased to learn that there is usually BEER at the finish line! Congratulations! Keep up the good work!
