I recently purchased "Olympic distance tri training program for the fitness athlete." It's by Dave Scott I believe. And I was looking through my training regimen today and it said to train on the bike:6 X 10 minutes with 1 minute RI. 10 minute segments are: 3 min. (A) BG + 3 min. (L-1) LG + 4 min. (L-2) TTG (What is highlighted is an example of what I'm wanting to know what it means) These abbr. are not provided in the glossary and also I keep re-re-RE-reading the other two sheets as well and to no avail. Please someone help me out with these and any other abbreviations that come to mind! Thanks so much!
In looking online at his sample plans, I believe "A" is Aerobic pace, RI= Resting or Recovery Interval, BG= Big Gear (big chain ring, small cog), LG=Low Gear (small chain ring, large cog), and I would guess that TTG=Time Trial Gear (although I'm not sure what this would mean exactly), LT=Lactate Threshold.
I hope that helps some.
