Which foam roller works best?

I'm interested in buying a foam roller, but I don't know if I should get an expensive one or stick to the cheap-o brands. I run about 70-100 miles a week and I have had problems with my pirifomus and IT bands in the past.

I've been going to physical therapy (sports mediciine) for the last two months. All they use are the cheap-o kind foam rollers.

I haven't tried any of the fancy ones, but the basic foam rollers work very well. You should be able to pick one up for about $20. If you haven't used one before, you might start with one of those.
Some people also use a tennis ball for piriformis syndrome.

The Black Elite rollers from Perform Better are great. They are harder and last longer than the white ones. I've had both. My roller is truly my best friend!
I've always just used cheap ones from target and they work fine. I also have the stick and use that for tougher places for me to roll like my calves and also for travel.
