this really helps
Players get into shooting slumps because they don't know the reason(s) which caused the slump in the first place. Ask anyone in the game and they will say: "I lost my touch!" There lies the rub. You will always go into a slump if you are a "touch shooter!" In other words: you will be a INCONSISTENT SHOOTER AT BEST relying on the techniques taught today. TO AVOID SLUMPS AND TO FIX YOUR SHOT IMMEDIATELY and not when you get your touch back, you must KNOW THE REASONS WHY YOU MISS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Shooting is an art and I'm an expert that can shoot with either hand and consistently make up to and beyond 30-40 shots in a row every day with either hand from anywhere on the court. This drill is okay but it's not the best! This drill just reinforces your mental attitude, work ethic, and persistance but it gives you no REAL TIPS ON SHOOTING CONSISTENTLY.

Don't take my word for any of this: the same man who taught Michael Jordan at 5 Star (Wayne Slappy) is on my site and can vouch for every word I've stated here. His list of players start with Jordan but also includes Kobe and a host of NBA PLAYERS WHO'S WHO LIST. Ask him what I did at his wnba/d-league-NBA workout at the age of 50.
i can now drain my shots more and avoid slumps

This really helps, I've been in plenty of shooting slumps. Once I saw this, I knew that it would help.
