Re: Women's new running Fashion

Yeah, now that I see those, I have to say that I'd NEVER wear them. I'd consider a running skirt if it just had a liner, but then I'd be afraid that my butt was hanging out. I think that regular shorts and I are just fine together.

I like the running skirts.  It didn't work for me for running, but some people have said it helps chafing because of tight shorts underneath --- but I love it for working out in so I can not feel weird if I work out and my SO steals me before I get home for lunch/dinner together. They're cute.

Re: Women's new running Fashion

exactly!!!
you never know where life will take you, and it is soo nice to be prepared for anything... even in sweaty workout clothes.

(for the record, this is NOT girlie girl. I'd argue the true girlie-girl wouldn't be caught dead at dinner in workout clothes - be it shorts or a cute skirt.)

just my $.02 worth

Re: Women's new running Fashion

I got a running skirt(well skort since it has shorts under it) a couple days ago. I like it, it's fun to run in.

Re: Women's new running Fashion

all the running skirts have shorts under them.... I think the skorts of old are a skirt in front and shorts in back, right?  I have always wondered.

Anyways, glad you like your skirt Silver!!!

Re: Women's new running Fashion

I do run in a skirt, lip stain/gloss, and waterproof mascara.  The New Balance running skirts are very light, don't bunch up or chafe.  It almost feels like you're wearing nothing. I like them, they look much better on me (5'2, 120lbs) than the running shorts which are usually too long.  No, they don't hold gels, chapstick or anything else, but on runs of less than 10 - who cares -  I'm cool and comfortable. When I want to feel like a running pack mule I slip on the hydration belt loaded w/gels, gatorade, chapstick, sunblock...
