About Me:
I started running 4 1/2 years ago attempting to complete my first marathon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society... Little did I know that I would continue this quest after my race experience. I trained for the AZ RNR Marathon and I had the absolute toughest time with my training... From blisters to toe nails falling off to absolute hateful thoughts of running. I knew in my heart that I could do it and that I WOULD FINISH... Come marathon day... It was my worst nightmare.. knee gave out and I struggled and cried from 17 until the end... I knew that there were people out there that had it worse off than me... there were people who were going through chemo and couldn't run... I was there for THEM!!! After crossing that finish line I thought I would NEVER run again let alone a marathon!!! 4 1/2 years later, I absolutely LOVE running and have just completed marathon #18!!!
I continue to run to show my 12 year old twins that they can do anything they set their minds too.... So far it has helped guide them in the right direction with doing well in sports and in school.
"Never out run your LOVE for running!!!"
I just ran my 2nd Ultra distance 50k+!! It was amazing!!! I am also training for my first 100 miler.
