Today is going to be brief. I have an off day scheduled on my running program. That is actually working out well since it is supposed to rain and I have to young kids with fevers this morning. I have thought about adding in some cross training and for some reason the kids Wii Fit comes into mind. Has anyone ever tried the workout programs on the Wii? There is Yoga, Strength Workouts, and more. It actually is pretty amazing all the variety of workouts you can do with a small balance board. Even aerobic exercises such as boxing and stepping. I just might have to give it a try later after work today. Besides, I think it makes the kids laugh a little watching dad try to beat there fitness tests... I think the Wii system really is the first of its kind to get you up off the couch and involved in the game/workout with all the additional accessories and software that you can add on to it....besides who can resist a game of bowling with the family.
Tomorrow is a planned 3 mile run and I already can't wait to get out there again. Yesterday was very smooth and I feel good today. Of course with a virus running through my family I will be stocking up on Vitamin C and sanitizing gel for the hands.
