About Me: I am 64, a Navy Vet, and retired as a Public School teacher, counselor, and administrator in 2008. I was just hired June 2009 by the VA to help homeless Vets find jobs after they secure housing(shelters or Section 8 vouchers). I ran the Phoenix Marathon in 1978, but have been a speed walker(oh, the Knees) the past 25 years. Thinking of transitioning to racewalking. PB is 10:46 per in a 4 miler, May 2009. I just completed the Columbus Marathon, Walking Division on October 18, and finished 3rd male at 5:33:36
