I'm home from Virginia Beach where I ran the Blue Moon Wicked 10K. Only my second official race and the first one to run alone (with 4999 strangers) I wasn't nervous this time like I was when I ran the Yuengling Shamrock 1/2 Marathon.  I knew what to expect race wise.  But I did wonder if I was capable of running the entire race without a friend encouraging me to keep the pace.  Turned out I did just fine!  Never stopping, never walking, strangers on the sidelines cheering all of us on to keep up the good work is always a boost.  I crossed that finish line in 1755th place by myself, grabbed my Blue Moon victory beer and celebrated alone. (with 4999 other runners) then walked back to my car ready to start my day.
