About Me:
I ran track in high school (400M, 4X100, 4X400 and longjump). I hated distance running until I got out of college and moved to Atlanta where they have a little race called Peachtree. In preparing for that race I ran some 5Ks and 10Ks and have been running off and on for the past 25 years.
I had knee surgery 4 years ago and in that procedure they removed most of the meniscus from my left knee. So, I only run 3 times a week but I'm also biking on other days. So far so good -- no real knee issues and until there are I'll keep on running :-)
Im also starting to run with a group of folks trying to raise awareness around the issue of slavery and specifically sex trafficking. Atlanta is near the top in this horrid practice and I hope and pray we can bring that to and end here and around the world. If you want to get a glimpse of what this issue is all about see the movie Taken. It will open your eyes to what is happening in Atlanta and other cities around the globe.
