OK, getting in a groove, albeit a not so deep groove. Rode high intensity on the stationary bike for 15 minutes last night. The one at this hotel is a recumbant and it really hits a nerve in the back of my left leg that irritates the **** out of me. I did 30 minutes the other night on it and just got more angry as I went on. I did 30 minutes of intervals on the treadmill. This is just the opposite as running outside. It feels easier on my knees and I feel I could do some 9 minute miles. I might try that next week.
I need to try to get back on the or a, regular training schedule. I need some outdoor time as well. Helps me clear my head. Part of my consistency problem is that at the beginning of the week, I'm in Chicago and the sidewalks are under 2 feet of snow. I could handle that, but I don't see anyone with snowshoes trumbling around after dark. Most people that do that I think do it on the weekend when I a'int here or maybe early morning. My old girlfriend Alex told me she had to get up at 5:30 or so in the mornings to gett her training for triathalons, etc. I envy her, but I have to examine my priorities. Is it going to be above average fitness or normal late day workouts?
