Gain Ground at West (Glenbard West High School)

Over two years ago, a small group of parents formed a project team with a single goal in mind: to explore ways to expand the use of the limited field space at Glenbard West High School. Appropriately, this small group called itself "Gain Ground." Gain Ground is a group of local residents dedicated to creating multiple-use athletic facilities at Glenbard West High School for the benefit of the entire community of Glen Ellyn. Gain Ground at West is making tremendous strides and is becoming large in size, scope and stature in the Glen Ellyn community.

Glen Ellyn Golden Eagles Youth Football

The Glen Ellyn Golden Eagles Youth Football program participates in the West Suburban Bill George Youth Football League. It is a competitive travel program where players learn and develop the fundamentals of tackle football, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership in a supervised, organized and safe atmosphere. Teams are formed based on age, weight, and abilitys.

Glen Ellyn Titans Travel Basketball

Glen Ellyn Titans Basketball is a feeder program for the Glenbard West High School basketball program. It offers the opportunity to participate in a competitive travel program for both boys and girls. Its goal is to build a competitive junior basketball program that is recognized as having players, coaches and parents who demonstrate good sportsmanship and integrity at all times.

Since 1999, over 1,500 players have participated in the program. The program offers players an opportunity to practice and experience travel quality games, tournaments and league play. The level of play is competitive and a high level commitment by both players and parents to the program is expected. Those eligible players include both boys and girls, grades 4th-8th who live within Glenbard West's High School District 87 boundaries.

The 2008-2009 Winter season began in early November and ends mid March. To help fundraise for the program, go to:

Sherwood High School Bowmen Playoff Game Tonight!

High School Football - NWOC5a LEAGUE CHAMPS

2nd Round Playoff game will be Friday, 11/14. The Bowmen will play South Albany @ SHS.

Gates open at 5:30 pm
Game time is 7:00 pm

OSAA Ticket prices are:

$6.00 for adults

$4.00 for students (all grades)

South Albany is bringing four rooter buses so everybody needs to show up and cheer on the SHERWOOD BOWMEN!!!!! Go Bowmen!

Glenbard West High School Football

Well, tonight's another big game for the undefeated Glenbard West Hilltoppers! After destroying DGN during the regular season, the Hitters need to come out strong and fast to keep DGN from gaining any confidence or hope of winning. I think Glenbard West will handle them again though, I'm guessing 28-7 tonight, on a sloppy field due to the recent rain. Go Hilltoppers!
