This is a tech question.
I run with my phone to track my run and to listen to music.
I’m considering getting a new phone, and the models that interest me don’t have a standard 3.5mm earphone jack. Instead they have a USB Type C connector with an earphone adapter cable.
I’m worried that the USB Type C connection is not as robust as the standard earphone connector and that the cable will come loose while I’m running. Does anyone have experience with that?
I know that I can use a Bluetooth earphone instead, but I’d rather not. I’m currently using el-cheapo earphones while I run, so if they get damaged or lost it’s no big deal (I have spares). Also, Bluetooth earphones need to charged and that’s just an additional nuisance.
Has anyone on the forum come up against this issue?
