How did it go?  I am running my first formal 5K next weekend.  I'm not being too frantic about it, mainly want to finish, and am pretty comfortable that without doing anything particular in eating and drinking other than my usual routine, I will do fine.  I have much more trouble though, with planning for how to eat around my drill days.  I started out this summer, thinking I was going to need a hydration belt in order to stay in the race for a 5K but now that the weather is cooler AND I have had more time off of the treadmill and on the paths, I realize I can have a sport drink in the car or at home for when I finish my regular runs, and that does me fine.  So I hope it is pretty much what worked, for you, too!
