Proper hill technique?

Hi all,

I ran a rather hilly 5 k race last week and ran a practice 5k race (in prep for a race in two weeks) which features one quite long, sizeable hill. I am going to start including more hills in my routes, but I have found that I am really inconsistant in dealing with them and they seem to sap my leg strength. What is the proper technique to take a hill? Thanks for any tips!

you want to push through the hill and give it the energy you have. the hills are what seperate you from other runners in a race. but don't worry you will recover on the downhill
