Hi,

I live in the Raleigh area and am looking for a training partner or two or however many people are crazy enough to join me. I'd like to continue with open water swimming into the fall and pick up again early spring. I plan on wearing a wetsuit when the water starts getting chilly. I am up for weekend swims ... say leave earlyish Saturday morning and head to Wrightsville to swim along the shore...Pier to Pier perhaps...or Jordan Lake or Falls Lake where it is allowed...or any other open body of water that is fairly clean and safe. I know of a lake in VA about 2 hours away.

I'd like to swim the Chesapeak Bay swim this coming spring...I swam it years ago and want to do it again along with other open water swims next summer.  I swim in a pool during the week but get tired of flip turns and love the open water!
