P90X/ Running experience sought

Hello,

I interested in feedback for runners who've used P90X.

I also have a running/P90X schedule I would be happy to forward if your interested. Appreciate feedback.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am an Independent Team Beachbody coach.

Replies can be sen to runtimpa@beachbodycoach.com

Thank You

I loved the P90X program, but found it too strenuous and intense to mix into a triathlon training routine.  The intensity of the workouts took away from intensity that I wanted to focus on speed and hill training.

I have however, incorporated some of the exercises in a much-watered-down strength training program that I use.

Runtimpa, I must say that I did do the P90X series and found that it was very strenuous, but at the same time very helpful.. I found that the breathing techiques helped me with my running, and when running trails i found that the jump training really helped me to get through and over small ditches.. I did notice very big changes in my body and mind.. For some reason though I didnt see too much of a time diffrence in my 5ks.. May have just been me.. idk.. I did however love the high intensity!!

some of p90x workouts are great for runners. the yoga helps with mobility and the stretching for flexibility.  if you are new to it treat it as a hard day...you'll be surprised that it is.
