Running/Walking in Character

I am looking for runners and walkers who like to make any event, from a 5k to a marathon, FUN! Fun not only ofr ourself but for the participants, spectators and especially the volunteers. The smiles I get from the volunteers, spectators and even the runners  make it worth while. I have even started a group called rCharacter.com  (you can also find us on facebook).

 

I am looking for more characters (runners and walkers) to join in the fun.

 

Here are some of our next events:

 

10/17/10 Detroit Free Press Half Mararthon

10/31/10 Chicago Monster Dash

11/25/10 Turkey Trot Detroit

01/08/11 Walt Disney World Half Marathon (tenative)

01/09/11 Walt Disney World Marathon (tenative)

 

Since September of 2006 I have done every race dressed as Mr. Incredible.

    Love the idea, I always dress up for a halloween 15K and its a great time!

    So what character you "run as"?

     

    Have you ever thought about being that character at every event?

     

    Last May, the Michigan Heart Association and the National Kidney Foundation - Michigan wanted us (myself & Wonder Woman) just to be at the event for walkers, specatators and volunteers.

     

    Runners World has contacted Wonder Woman with questions about a photograph of "Mr. Incredible & Wonder Woman" at the 2009 Turkey Trot in Detroit.

    We (Mr. Incredible, Wonder Woman & pocahantas) had a great time doing the Chicago Monster Dash on October 31, 2010. We even picked up a couple of runners to join in our FUN... "Running in Character."

     

    Next big race on our agenda is Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 2011. We will be doing the "Goofy." Half and FULL marathons.
