I'm a 26 year old male in the same situation.

It's usually good for about 18 months.  They announce a date each year when qualifying "starts", usually in September.  Times are then good for the next two years' races.  So qualifying for 2012 started (probably) in September of 2010.  But the time can be used for 2011 as well.

But that doesn't help if you want to run the 2011 race.

I have a male bib for sale.  I am asking 400 for it.  I have already invested 200 into qualifying and paying for the race.  The other 200 is the charge for the additional incentives (dinners, runners goody bags etc...) Please let me know if you are interested.
