Youth Football Coaches Association is proud to host the first annual Youth Football Coaches Clinic, held in conjunction with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. The clinic is held from Thursday January 6 through Sunday January 9. Throughout the clinic there will be different sessions, each teaching coaches different aspects of youth football.
We'd like to hear from you - which topics would interest you the most, and which topics you would like to learn more about. A youth coach can hold many responsibilities within a league; head coach, board member, league administrator, etc. The list of responsibilities for a youth football coach can go on and on. Would you be more interested in learning about the X's and O's? Or, would league management and development be more appealing? Some discussion on inspiration would be a good idea. So much of what we do as coaches involves encouraging athletes to harness their potential, some tips and suggestions in this department would be interesting since everyone has a unique style when it comes to finding creative ways to inspire.
Topics on proper tackling techniques are always good. Most kids playing high school football have little to no experience and are learning it on the fly( no pun intended.) With the increase in the concussions due to improper or never learned techniques some of these can be avoided
