The Illinois Chill Gold fastpitch softball team is offering a skills clinic for 4th through 8th graders on Sunday January 9, 2011, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Antioch Upper Grade School (AUGS), 800 Highview Drive, Antioch, IL 60002.  The cost of the clinic is $50 for 2 hours of instruction in the basic softball fundamentals of hitting, throwing and fielding.  You may register and pay for the clinic at the door. Please arrive by 10:45 a.m. to give yourself adequate time to register for an 11 a.m. start.

Over the last six years the Illinois Chill organization has had over 40 players make commitments to Division I college softball programs! On the current Chill Gold roster of 13 players, all 9 of the juniors and seniors have either signed with or verballed to D1 programs.  This is a unique opportunity for young players to interact and be mentored by girls who have reached the highest level of club competition as high schoolers. It is also a great opportunity to learn more about the Illinois Chill fastpitch organization for those who might be interested in trying out when they reach high school age.
