Are You REALLY Serious About Softball ?

Team Texas is looking for a handful of select athletes that are mentally tough and physically fit, to join a demanding fastpitch organization that will be traveling extensively in 2011 to play in college exposure events in California, Colorado, Florida, and Texas--including several Premier Girls Fastpitch National Qualifiers--this summer, and the Ronald McDonald Tournament in October.

Team Texas is fully funded and fully sponsored with its own indoor practice facility based in the north Houston/Harris County/South Montgomery County area.

We are currently looking for coachable, teachable athletes with a positive mental attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to make the kind of full time commitment necessary to succeed in fastpitch softball at the highest levels.

Team Texas is coached by Robert and Tonetta Andaya. Having coached thousands of players, hundreds of scholarship athletes and numerous All-Americans, the Andaya’s are one of the most experienced and accomplished coaching tandems in the country.

This is not "daddy ball." The Andaya’s coaching style is tough, demanding--and fair. The Andaya’s teach and stress proper fundamentals (even at the highest levels of play) and they insist that their players work diligently to improve their strength and conditioning. But perhaps most importantly, the Andaya’s demand that their players respect themselves, each other and the game itself.

If you are mentally tough and willing to learn how to focus that mental strength to improve your game—If you are physically aggressive and willing to play fearlessly on the field—If you possess a “do or die” attitude and you are willing to “leave your feet” to make a play—If you are willing to commit to an intense conditioning regimen and work harder than you thought possible—And if you are willing to practice more (and more effectively!) than you ever imagined— then Team Texas may be the team for you!
