Hello, I've done the programme before and not run since last summer. Decided I'd start back and try to drop the 28lbs I'm carrying around every day and managed to shift 6 so far. I've reached week 5 which starts day 1 tomorrow. I must admit at this stage I'm not looking forward to the 20 min run as I know from experience it is scary.
I anyone else at week 5?
I am picking running back up and starting on Week 5 of C2 5K. I haven't run regularly since August.
I was meant to do the 20 minute run Friday but I couldn't make it to the gym...will be doing it tomorrow or Tuesday.
I did C25K all the way through last spring. The 20 minute run went just fine for me...just remember to go slow!!!!
Yes I know I need to reduce my speed a little in order to complete the run, I've also put some upbeat music on my mp3 so looking forward to it now.
Bring it on.
I'm coming back to running and started at W5D1 today.
I am definitely going to take it slow on the 20 minute run. I've promised myself not to think about speed until after I am comfortably running 15M/wk.
I am pretty psyched up to get back into running...I don't want to wait until Wed for my next run
Hi there. I just finished W6D3 of C25K today. I remember last week being so intimidated by the 20 minute run. I ended up walking about 3 of the 20, but felt great. I never thought I could be running 17 minutes 6 weeks ago! You can do it!!
Hi Bertay, I am starting W5 tomorrow and I know how you feel. Running, wogging, jogging (or whatever everyone does) for 20 minutes is intimidating me. I've never stuck to a running program before so for me to actually be able to run for 20 minutes is going to be incredibly cool. But then again, when I started the W4 workouts I was intimidated then but I made it through. So I have confidence that I will be able to follow through with this week. And like someone else that replied to your post about going slow? I am going to do that too. That is what helped me with the 5 minute segments last week in the W4 workouts. Anyway you can do it! just as I know I can. Have fun!!

I just finished me W5D1 jog and it went pretty well. But, like you I am a little nervous about the straight through 20 minute run on D3. It seems such a jump from D1 and D2. But, I feel like the jogging intervals are getting much easier for me, so as long as the 8 min intervals go well on D2, the 20 mins shouldn't be a problem.
So, good luck and keeping on running.
God created Firemen so Cops could have heroes too.
Week 1 Done, bring on Week 2.
I'm starting week 5 (first run tonight, gulp!) and I'm TERRIFIED!!!! I did the 20 minute run on W4D3 and thought I was going to fall off the treadmill. But I did it, and I figure if I can do it once, I can do it again!
Maybe...I guess we'll see tonight!
